Happy 83rd Birthday Mickey Mouse and Minnie!





Mickey and Minnie were born on November 18, 1928 to creater and cartoonist Walt Disney.  Mickey debuted in November 1928 in the cartoon SteamBoat Willie.  Where Mickey met Minnie (both voiced by Walt Disney himself), his lovely sweetheart. Nine of Mickey's cartoons were nominated for Best Animated Short Film at the Academy Awards. He won an award in 1942. In 1940 Mickey appeared in his first feature length film Fantasia, on his role as the Sorcerer's Apprentice. In 1978, Mickey became the first cartoon character to have a star on the Hollywood's Walk of Fame.  This Mickey Mouse is often used by the Disney company to represent Mickey, who has become an iternational icon! Not only is Mickey the symbol of the Walt Disney Company but also their mascot. Mickey is beloved by everyone in every age. Mickey and Minnie have been in the Kindom Hearts video games series and lately on Epic Mickey.  With Minnie always by his side and "the Gang" made up by pal Pluto, Goofy, Donald and Daisy, they become an unstoppeable team!
